Coral Stone has mastered the designs and creativity of custom lightweight stone range hoods.
Our stone hoods are made in 4 pieces.
Install corbels or legs.
Add the main box that holds the blower unit.
Install the top part we call the canopy.
Add Optional Stone Crown molding.
The main box will come with your blower unit already installed. This is then removed at any time or during installation. The legs or corbels are glued to the wall. The top back of the corbel or legs has a nailing fin to mechanically fasten them to the blocking in the wall. Then you set the main blower box on top of the legs and fasten it to the structure in the wall. Screw through the box into the top of the corbels or legs. At this point, you’re ready to install the blower unit the same way you removed it. Connect the vent pipe and electrical. Take a picture in case your inspector requires viewing the connections.
Lightweight stone hoods:
Corbels or legs can average between 30 and 70 lbs each
Main blower box without the blower unit installed between 120 and 160 lbs
Top Canopy between 35 to 50 lbs
Coral Stone provides a full CAD drawing of your range hood for you and your designer with a complete front view and side view with exact measurements.
The customer or contractor needs to provide us with the Blower Unit to start the production. This enables you to select the blower unit of your choice. This is just another advantage of working with Coral Stone for your lightweight custom stone range hood.
